In May, our “Oil Pastels Garden Blossoms” Art Workshop gave library patrons a chance to try their hand at working with a new medium! Instructor Danielle Lafayette walked participants through creating a pencil sketch of various garden flowers (including Iris, Pansies, Lily of the Valley and accompanying greenery). Then, using the technique of blending multiple pastels in layers, the artists created their own shades for a custom, individualized palette.
